Captain Andrew Viola checked I with a wrap-up from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing. Our first trip was a success.. We had a mix of Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna. Including action on 50 pound Bluefin Tuna. We did have a few bigger models too.
We are happy to be back at it and we look forward to fishing with you this Summer.

Well, we just finished up our last day of our last trip of 2014. We fished the coast for yellowtail and junk this morning. And remember by junk I mean the small good eaters. It was a successful morning. The sun wasn't even up yet and we were getting yellows and others. It was good fishing. The grade was small, 10-12 pounders but we didn't have more then 8 yellowtail on board prior to today so we were tagging them. For a little while anyways. We let everyone get a few along with there junk before looking for something else. We made a few drifts after that for another couple handfulls of yellows and some whitefish and stuff and then it was mid morning and we had to call it and head for home. So that's what we're doing now.
Another successfully trip I'd call it. We had some action the first couple days fishing, then we got to see the 2-300 pounders boiling around(unfortunately none would bite but they were there), and then we had some great action on wahoo and tuna, and then we finished her off up above getting action on the yellers. We'll be unloading at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and like I said, we'll be tied up for a while. So it's that time.
It's time to write this. I write this at the end of every season. I should just copy and paste it every year because it's the same, as it should be. I'd just like to thank everyone who fished with us this year and in previous years on behalf of myself, the crew, and all the way to Tommy and Susan from the bottom of our hearts. You're what keep us going year after year. You're the reason we can take care of ourselves and our families. You're why we can enjoy life off of the boat and on the boat. You make our world go round. Hi friends. We arrived back to the docks this morning at 06:30 hours and did our usual offloading procedures. Unloaded Tom and the boys, their gear, their beautiful load of Bluefin and Yellowtail, loaded groceries, cleaned the boat, cleaned the fish holds, refueled, changed oil/fuel filters, the girls made up the bunks with fresh linens and cleaned, freshwater the boat, vaccuum the upper deck/wheelhouse, clean/restock the galley, do the windows, load our new passengers and their gear, and take off for another adventure all within 4 hours of docking. We hustle, we know. We also managed a mass substitution of team members. Riddler, Jed, Shawn, and Dee headed for home and Drew, Matt, Schooler, and Ali relieved the gang from last trip.
With that, we headed to the bait recievers, loaded up on a decent load of sardines, and cleared the point by noon. After Schoolers famous bratwurst lunch, we knocked out our tackle seminar and hung out for a bit until we started fishing around 17:00 hours.
Our fishing was just OK. We managed to land a couple handfuls of Bluefin in the 30 lb. range before the sun settled below the horizon and nightfall ended our day. It was a very picky bite but the quality is what we're likin' the most. We're going to enjoy our traditional first night dinner of prime rib, idle downswell for a calm dinner seating/comfy nights sleep, and hit this again first thing tomorrow morning.
In closing, we're hopeful about the potential for tomorrow. Our weather is a bit sloppy but it's plenty fishable; just a tad bit wet and windy. Anyhow, we're here and we're looking forward to snappin' Bluefin tomorrow morning. Wish us luck.
