idaho Fishing Report 2025

Hello Everyone, The weather was pretty rough last night and is still pretty choppy today. It does not look like we will have time to fish today. Yesterday fishing was so good, we were able to enjoy the fruits of our labors with some freshly filleted yellowtail for today's lunch. 20- 30 lb fresh yellowtail for lunch, doesn't get much better than that! We will be in San Diego tomorrow bright and early tomorrow morning. Will report again then, Team Supreme

The San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA finished the day with176 Yellowfin Tuna, 1 Yellowtail & 1 Skipjack.

Boots or waterproof shoes are highly recommended.

Hello Everyone, Today we spent the day targeting the larger Tuna, Yellowtail, Wahoo, and Grouper. We were able to pick the 20-30 lb Yellowfin Tuna for most of the day. There was also some nicer Yellowtail caught on occasion as well. We caught a few Wahoo, but the volume was not around today like we wanted. We are headed up in hopes of big Yellowtail tomorrow. Captain Andrew Viola called in today at 10:33 AM with update from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay.  We returned this morning from a 1.5 day trips.  We had good action yesterday on the Bluefin Tuna.  We had a total of 45 Bluefin Tuna.  We had two Bluefin over 300 pounds (356 and 353).  We also had three Bluefin Tuna over 200 pounds.  Then we had about 12 nice fish weighing in between 80 and 180 pounds.  Late in the day we found a good school of 30 to 40 pound fish.   We had about about 25 of this nice fish.  It was good action right before the sun went down.  Good fishing and good weather.

Next few trips are overnights going for Yellowfin and Dorado.  Our next Bluefin trip departs on Monday night.

UPDATE: I just talked to Andrew and the 356 pounder is a boat record.

Captain Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute last night updating us about the 1.5 day trip returning this AM. We had 72 Yellowtail (up to 40 pounds), 13 Bluefin Tuna (up to 30 pounds), and 7 Dorado. Our next couple trips are SOLD OUT but please call Seaforth Landing at (619) 224-3383 to get in on the action.

Hello everyone, Today we fished the coast for Yellowtail. It was slow but the grade of fish was excellent. We are still working up the line. Hopefully we can end the trip with a bang tomorrow. Will Report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Hello friends. The weather could be a lot better offshore, that's for sure. It's bumpy, it's windy, it's cold and wet - the people are not digging it at all. It's just a bad time for everyone when the boat is rolling back and forth, bouncing up and down, the wind howling, people are sick and it's just an unpleasant deal all the way around. Buuuutttttt, this problem does not exist when you're in the calm lee of an island and that's where we are, so we're pumped. Our only problem with the weather right now is sun burns and kelp flies. Needless to say, we're happy we made the move inside and with the weather still forcasted to be up offshore, we're going to give this island weather another day and brave the elements of flat calm weather and endless sunshine.

As for the fishing; it wasn't hot and heavy but it was a nice pace for the gang to enjoy. We had a few morning drifts where the dropper loops were getting bit but the seals ended that party pretty quick. So, we decided to make a move for less local harassment and we had ourselves a nice drift around lunch time that really made our day. a fly-lined sardine was the ticket to capture a nice 'tail and the fish ranged from 12-18 lbs. Quality sized fish and the kids and adults alike were having themselves a ball. After our drift dried up, we toured around various spots to no avail but were excited about the prospects of tomorrow.

Like I said, we'll be here for one more day tomorrow and come the evening time, we're going to have to start working our way up the line and try to make it the smoothest ride we can going home. With that, we'll chat with y'all tomorrow. Have a great day.

Hello Everyone, Today was a rigging day. We spent the whole day getting our gear squared away for the upcoming days of fishing to come. Countless wire leaders, top shots, and lures were rigged up. We are ready for what tomorrow brings. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme
