Polaris Supreme Trip Update 08-07-2019 We spent the day today looking for kelp patties that might be loaded with Dorado Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna or Yellowtail. It didn't work out! This pretty much winds up the trip for us. Today was a bust fishing wise but the dinner was a bonus! Roger cooked up pork Oso Buco and Cheese Orzo. It was absolutely delicious! Tomorrow we will be traveling up cleaning the boat headed back to San Diego for a Friday arrival. Here is a few photos from yesterday that deserve posting.

Hello everyone, Today we spent another day targeting quality Wahoo and school sized tuna. We did great, picking at the Wahoo the majority coming on live bait. The bombs and jigs seem somewhat dormant at the moment, but we're not complaining because fish are coming aboard! At times there is an incredible amount of life out here. From the Wahoo, Skipjack, Yellowfin, Triggerfish, and more. The volume of life makes it difficult to hook the targeted Wahoo and bigger Tuna. So there is quite a bit of weeding out of the small yellowfin and other species in order to get what we came here for. Aside from Tuna and Wahoo we had an unexpected jag of Dorado swim through today. We landed a handful of the larger models to add to the fall variety pack here aboard Polaris Supreme. We are heading up tonight in hopes of a Yellowtail topper tomorrow morning. Wish us luck! Polaris Supreme Trip Update 08-04-2019 We have caught some nice quality the last couple days just lacking in numbers! Were going to make a little move here see if we can't change that! Just yellows here today no sign of grouper or Wahoo. Weathers great going to spend the rest the day looking for Dorado and yellowfin tuna patties. The Polaris Supreme Crew !

Osterkamp charter had to work hard for every bite but in the end we achieved our goal. (1) made it home safe. (2) enjoy the ocean with friends and family. (3) every one of our 43 customers caught a fish as we ended with 61 yellowfin tuna.

So thankful that we are able to fish and enjoy a great time out here on the water.

54 passengers 6 yellowtail 80 calico bass 56 barracuda. Great summertime action taking place at the Coronado islands right now. Yellowtail are always the target species this time of year. However, almost every spot that we try to catch yellowtail at also has calico bass and barracuda. It would be a good idea to bring a 15 lb. bass rod along with your yellowtail gear.

Good evening everyone, Today we spent the day, crimping, cutting, wiring, and simply enjoying the ride down the line. Sun in the sky, low winds, and great company. What more can you ask for! We have Wahoo in our sights for tomorrow morning and are making great speed traveling down. We should arrive early tomorrow morning to begin trying for these fish. Capt Ryan Bostain checked in with a report for the San Diego for their 3/4 day trip today down south, we ended the day with 103 Yellowtail for our efforts. Mixed sizes today with a couple in the 10 lb range and a couple around 28 lbs, most were in the 15 to 18 lbs. They were mostly on the surface action today, with a few on the yoyo irons. Come on down and bring a 40-50 lb setup for the yoyo and a 25-30 for flylining and a 8-10 ft jig stick for the surface irons. The Tady 45s, Salas 7Xs or Candy Bars are all working well for the surface irons. Come on down and get in on this Yellowtail action while it is hot.
