The Dolphin III has been purchased by Mike Pritchard a veteran captain with a vast amount of experience.   Captain Pritchard has recently worked on the Legend and prior to that spent time working on the the Intrepid and Excel. The Tribute has moved to it's new home at Seaforth Sportfishing were it will be the primary open party overnight boat.
Captain Pritchard has renamed the boat to honor his mentor Bill Poole.   The boat was previously owned by Bill Poole and will be a fine edition to the Seaforth Fleet.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. Today Cameron Cribben drove the boat and we had 24 passengers catch 11 Bluefin (25 to 60 pounds) plus 20 Bonito. This time of year conditions are changing fast and we need to be prepared for multiple types of gamefish. This afternoon some bluefin tuna moved into the yellowtail grounds. I had such a great time fishing with Captain Ryan Bostian and his crew aboard the San Diego that I couldn't resist jumping aboard again for another shot at some of those big Coronado Island yellows. There are big schools of yellowtail roaming the Coronado Islands and recent fish counts have been ranging anywhere from just a few fish to 70-80 fish per trip. No sense trying to figure it out. Pick a day and go !!! Captain Bostian and the San Diego fish the Coronado Islands everyday, so nobody knows them better or fishes them harder than the Captain and his crew. We looked for and caught a few barracuda along the coast as we made our way down to the Coronados. We worked several areas of both islands looking for a school of yellows that wanted to stay with the boat. We saw plenty of action around the boat and would hook one or two yellows at each spot, but we could never get them to bite aggresively. We landed 10-11 nice yellows highlighted by Aiyana Schwartz's huge jackpot yellow that she hooked on a dropper looped sardine. All in all a great day on the water with an excellent chance at catching a trophy fish. The Coronado Islands are about to break wide open and Captain Bostian and the crew aboard the San Diego will be there. Captain Ryan Bostian check in tonight with an update from “The San Diego” out of Seaforth Sportfishing. Today we had 7 Bluefin Tuna. The only thing consistent about Bluefin Tuna is that they are inconsistent. We will try again on Wednesday.

Polaris Supreme arrived August 23 with skipper Drew Henderson at the wheel. Ryan Christianson of San Diego was chartermaster for the 24 anglers aboard on the Let's Talk Hookup trip. Mark Greul of Omaha, NE presented a 58-pound yellowfin at the scales and won first place for his effort. He said his fish bit a sardine on a 3/0 Flyliner hook tied to 30-pound Blackwater fluorocarbon and 30-pound Ande line. He used a Torium 30 reel and a Seeker Black Steel C8 seven and a half-foot rod. Richard Miller of Jackson won second place for a 40-pound albacore. Mark Cornoll of Jackson won third place for a 31.6-pound yellowtail.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in with an update from The San Diego. We had 144 Yellowfin Tuna and 70 Dorado! The fish were not full speed. It was a pick all day. Captain Mike Pritchard checked in this afternoon with an update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay, CA. We are currently on a 1.5 day trip with 10 anglers. We have limits of Bluefin Tuna (20) up to 70 pounds. We also have some Yellowtail too. The Tribute is ONLINE at Seaforth Sportfishing in San Diego, CA.

Andrew Viola called in with a wrap up from the 1.5 day trip from the Pacifica out of Seaforth Landing in San Diego, CA.

We saw a good sign of fish yesterday. We picked up 48 Yellowtail and  4 Dorado to go with our 4 Bluefin Tuna.

The Pacifica is back out tomorrow night for a 1.5 day trip fishing offshore for Tuna and Yellowtail. Departs at 9PM.
