Polaris Supreme Trip Update 08-05-2019 Today started off great. We had a nice little night bite on yellowtail and picked up a few white Seabass to go with it. The quality yellowtail is gorgeous! After daylight things pick back up and we had great fishing all way through midday. Half of the fish was 25 to 30 pound range yellowtail. Although a little windy at times our weather was pretty good all day. Definitely going to give this a try again tonight and tomorrow. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

We have a two day trip that has some spots available. The trip departs Sunday the 9th of September at 9 p.m. fishing the 10th and 11th. and returns on the evening of the 11th. This two day is limited to 20 people. Cost is $510 per person and includes food and permits.

15 pass. 60 yellowtail 4 barracuda 9 kelp bass. We have switched our open party trips back to the Coronado Islands. Ticket price is $160. This includes your visitors visa, your fishing license and your biosphere bracelet.

Ok guys I just got the final report from captain Brian Kiyohara. Brian has been driving the San Diego occasionally while the American Angler is shut down. Brian reported seeing 5 or 6 really nice schools of yellowtail today. Most of the schools would pop up to the surface long enough to get the binoculars on them but would vanish by the time he got the boat to them. We have seen this behavior in the past. A mid-day drift however did produce 3 bites from these 15-20 lb. fish. In the end the final talley for 24 anglers was 2 yellowtail 9 barracuda and 1 calico bass. Like I mentioned in my earlier report, these fish should bite better with the improving weather. The coastal eddy that we have had for 2 1/2 days is breaking down. Looks like a lite load tomorrow, make those resos and come on down.

So far this year we have had absolutely phenomenal yellowtail fishing as well as a better chance than ever, in the history of Southern California to catch a bluefin over 200lbs! Capt Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego with a trip wrap up for their 41 anglers to report that they caught 135 Yellowtail at the Coronado Islands. They were biting on the flylined sardines and the surface jigs, we also a few on the yoyo jigs, pretty good fishing today. We will be back at it again tomorrow, get down here and get in on this hot action.
