Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-08-2016 Hello Everyone, Another great day here. Today the surface action was second to none. We had some really nice hits on yellowtail in the morning. Lots of surface iron and flyline fish. As the day went on it slowed to a steady pick. It seemed spots of breezing and pushing fish were the hot ticket today, so tomorrow we will keep our eyes peeled in search of them once again. Great day with a lot of visual action to go along with it down here! Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 07-22-2016 Good morning everyone from the bridge of the Polaris Supreme. We are certainly holding our heads high after yesterday's action. With a little bit of a scratchy couple of days prior, the switch turned on and it was nothing short of a day that everyone hopes for. The morning pick was nothing to complain about, but right at lunch time, the galley was a ghost town. It was all hands on deck. The grade of fish was a touch on the smaller side to start with some bonito mixed in, but we stayed persistent and fished off the junk. As the afternoon transpired, the size of the yellows just kept getting bigger and bigger. It was a picture perfect yellow bite. Breaking fish, breezers, shiners....surface iron, yo-yo, fly line, dropper loop. We just couldn't miss. Just shows the reward comes when you stick with it and fish hard. The grade of fish was a 15-20 lb average with a handful of stand out 30+ pounders. All and all it was an amazing day out here. We're off to a little bit of a slow start this morning, so we'll just patiently wait til they decide to wake up and get on the chew.  Well, we just finished up our last day of our last trip of 2014.  We fished the coast for yellowtail and junk this morning.  And remember by junk I mean the small good eaters.  It was a successful morning.  The sun wasn't even up yet and we were getting yellows and others.  It was good fishing.  The grade was small, 10-12 pounders but we didn't have more then 8 yellowtail on board prior to today so we were tagging them.  For a little while anyways.  We let everyone get a few along with there junk before looking for something else.  We made a few drifts after that for another couple handfulls of yellows and some whitefish and stuff and then it was mid morning and we had to call it and head for home.  So that's what we're doing now.

 Another successfully trip I'd call it.  We had some action the first couple days fishing, then we got to see the 2-300 pounders boiling around(unfortunately none would bite but they were there), and then we had some great action on wahoo and tuna, and then we finished her off up above getting action on the yellers.  We'll be unloading at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and like I said, we'll be tied up for a while.  So it's that time.

 It's time to write this.  I write this at the end of every season.  I should just copy and paste it every year because it's the same, as it should be.  I'd just like to thank everyone who fished with us this year and in previous years on behalf of myself, the crew, and all the way to Tommy and Susan from the bottom of our hearts.  You're what keep us going year after year.  You're the reason we can take care of ourselves and our families.  You're why we can enjoy life off of the boat and on the boat.  You make our world go round.  THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in this evening with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. Today we had 19 anglers catch 13 Bluefin Tuna. The best way to get a bite was finesse live bait rigs (20 lb floor #2 hook) or an 80-100 gram flat fall. I would bring both your heavy outfits and large flat falls for the bigger Bluefin Tuna.

Yesterday morning we had some good fishing and the albacore and some great fishing on the yellowtail. Midday we got a nice round on the bluefin and late in the day we were back with the albacore biting full speed. It was a fantastic day. Weather was good and is still nice today. This morning we had a nice hit on the albacore. We have had some requests in the office to post the meals we serve on board, so we'll start putting some of that information on as well. Last night Chef Pedro served a wonderful duck breast fillet served in natural pan sauce. It was excellent. The night before we dined on salmon with a lemon, butter caper sauce. Also very tasty.

Some of our lunches on this trip were pork carnitas, with all the toppings and sides, and one day we had chicken marinara with pasta. Food and fishing is excellent! Paul Hess's group has also been excellent.

We will be into the dock tomorrow morning at 6am.

Hello Everyone, We are still marching up the line here making good speed. Our ETA to the dock is 6 am tomorrow morning. Another great Billy Stephens Charter in the books. ood evening everyone, Today we started in search of Yellowfin Tuna. It seemed that the past days have been a grind for those who have committed to this area. So we woke up today ready to grind. Fortunately we found a school early that wanted to play. So with the ball in our court we were really to put the wood to these school sized fish that were eagerly pouring aboard Polaris Supreme. Absolute chaos to start the day, a perfect way to follow two days of premium yellowtail fishing. We kept at it, getting good scores on these tuna to join the yellows that were chilling in our frigid holds. Eventually we did have to point the boat towards home and call it a trip, but what a way to end! I would like to thank Ron for putting together this charter and everyone for joining us and putting the screws to these fish when it counted! We will be in San Diego tomorrow dark and early at 5:30 to offload the bounty and come out for another. Until next time, Team Supreme

Polaris Supreme Report 07-25-2016 Hey everyone, Another beautiful day out here on the offshore waters of northern Baja. Today we searched for kelp patties, breeezers, and bird schools. We did very well finding kelp, however it just doesn't seem that the large volume of fish has moved in on them yet. Hopefully soon! Later in the afternoon we found a nice temp break that lead some exotic Dorado and Yellowtail, even a Sea Turtle popped got in on the action. The yellows were large and healthy, and the Dorado were a welcome sight and hopefully a good precursor to the warm water fish months ahead. Tomorrow we will be fishing for big yellowtail and maybe a seabass or two Wish us luck! Team Supreme
