brainerd ice Fishing Report 2025

As the sun was setting on our final “offshore” trip of 2020. The moon was rising over the Coronado islands. Today we scratched 60 small yellowtail off of various kelps. Tomorrow’s trip has been cancelled due to lack of reservations. All of our trips in December will be fishing the islands and will require a passport. Reservations are very important this time of year.

Hello Everyone, It has been pretty action packed today. Starting with biting Yellowfin Tuna in the dark then, changing to picking at Grouper and Wahoo during the day. Now settling back into a night time pick on the Yellowfin Tuna. It seems like there is always something going on. We are loving the variety and cannot wait for what tomorrow brings. Polaris Supreme Trip Report 08-12-2016 It was a good day today, a lot of traveling and we got a few fish. All and all everybody had a good day in good weather relaxing and had time to make new acquaintances as well as renew old ones. Team Supreme

Captain Ryan Bostian called in late last night with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay, CA. We caught 97 Yellowtail and 120 Calico Bass today. The majority of the fish were caught on fly-lined baits. We did catch some Yellows on the YoYo too!
Bring a 25 pound live bait stick with mono. We do not recommend spectra and a shot top shot for what we are doing right now. Also 1 and 2 o hooks. For yoyo bring your 40 pound outfit.

Spent most of day searching for yellowtail in extremely clean water and very strong current. Our search for gamefish came up empty but our 50 passengers enjoyed some fine shallow water bottom fishing. We ended up with 150 Whitefish, 50 Rockfish, 30 Sculpin, 10 Sheephead, and 10 Bonito.
