I have three more fishing opportunities on the Apollo. Berkley will sponsoring three overnight Channel Island trips. These will be sea bass and rock fish type adventures. There will be give aways and raffles on board compliments of Berkley and Pure Fishing. Everyone will receive goodies for fishing. Polaris Supreme Trip Reports 08-03-2016 Today's trip has us departing on Henry Hampton's four-day trip. This is Henry's second year chartering the boat and it looks like he has quite a few new anglers. One thing about them looks the same though there are excited to get out and get at some good quality fishing. So off we go! We left the bait receivers with some of the most ratty bait that we've seen all year. Luckily we have a good supply in our center slammer that we have been rat holing for a few trips now. Departing this afternoon judging our options we have decided to try a little something different there is some new good-looking water and signs of yellows in a new area. As always happens the old areas are drying up fast. We have good weather today and a forecast of good weather tomorrow wish us luck. The Polaris Supreme crew!

  We had another great day today.  Stoked.  Things didn't start off so great though.  Nope.  Before 11:00 am things weren't so hot  We only had a few fish on board.  Things have been different at this place everyday.  We just needed to figure it out.  And we did.  We figured it out.  For the next few hours we picked away.  One here, two there kind of thing with an occasional flury.  Around two though things got busy.  For the next few hours we were pulling on 14-25 pound yellows with 5-6 going all the time.  I was just sitting up here in the wheel house with crew member Justin and we were reflecting on how much fun it was.  We had a good day.  Fish hold number 2 is full now. 

  We're going to hang tight on the anchor tonight and start off here in the morning.  We wouldn't mind getting another taste of this before we see what other shananagans(still haven't found the spell check on here) we can get into next.  We're thinking we"ll hunt for trophies and make Halibut drifts in the afternoon.  Trophies being the 40-50 pound model yellowtails.  I'll tell you about it tomorrow.
         

We had a great day fishing open water on the yellowtail up to 25 lbs, and dorado up to 20 lbs. Our weather is excellent. It couldn't be any better. Today was just a fantastic day.

Captain Ryan Bostian called in today after 2 PM with an update from the San Diego. Today is my day off and Cameron is running the boat. We are up to 80 Yellowtail. We are having light loads even though the fishing has been great. Most of the fish medium grade with fish up to 25 pounds too!

Great fishing happening right now at the Coronado Islands aboard the San Diego fishing out of Seaforth Landing. Yellowtail, bass, giant barracuda and bonita are all biting well making for a action filled day on the water and fat bags of fillets for the BBQ.  Head out during the week to beat the crowds as there is plenty of room on the boat all week. 

Capt Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego as they wrapped up their trip of 5::30 am to 5:30 pm full day trip, we ended the day with Mexican limits of Yellowtail for out 9 anglers. Yes we went out with 9 anglers, it has been light loads and looks like it will be that way all week. Today was a really nice change of pace as we dropped anchor and never had to move, and we had 1 - 4 hanging at all times today. The fish today averaged from 15 to 25 lb, the flylined baits and the surface irons worked really well today. We will be running everyday this year and the fishing has been really fun. Wish you could have been there, if the boat is still floating then we will be running.

Hello everyone, Today we spent the day targeting Wahoo, Yellowtail, and what ever else we were able to find. We were able to scratch up some nice Wahoo and yellowtail, just not the numbers we would have liked. However the Wahoo we were able to find were quite large, some close to 60 lbs! Some truly great fish! We are going for big numbers tomorrow, wish us luck! Team Supreme
