One of the most frequently asked questions in the wheelhouse is. “What is a breezer ?” The second photo is a good look at an average size breezer in perfect lighting conditions. The first photo is a look at what is creating the breezer. I’ve been fortunate enough to spend thousands of days on the water with thousands of other people and I have come to the realization that some people can see breezers and some people cannot. Scripps Ranch Old Pros charter. 42 anglers killed 400 beers, 3 yellowtail, 26 bonito, lots of shallow water rockfish. ‘‘Tis the season for mixed bag fishing and binge drinking in beautiful weather.

I had such a great time fishing with Captain Ryan Bostian and his crew aboard the San Diego that I couldn't resist jumping aboard again for another shot at some of those big Coronado Island yellows. There are big schools of yellowtail roaming the Coronado Islands and recent fish counts have been ranging anywhere from just a few fish to 70-80 fish per trip. No sense trying to figure it out. Pick a day and go !!! Captain Bostian and the San Diego fish the Coronado Islands everyday, so nobody knows them better or fishes them harder than the Captain and his crew. We looked for and caught a few barracuda along the coast as we made our way down to the Coronados. We worked several areas of both islands looking for a school of yellows that wanted to stay with the boat. We saw plenty of action around the boat and would hook one or two yellows at each spot, but we could never get them to bite aggresively. We landed 10-11 nice yellows highlighted by Aiyana Schwartz's huge jackpot yellow that she hooked on a dropper looped sardine. All in all a great day on the water with an excellent chance at catching a trophy fish. The Coronado Islands are about to break wide open and Captain Bostian and the crew aboard the San Diego will be there. Hands down the best fishing the AZTEC has ever seen!! Our standouts were a 321lb, 298lb, & 292lb. We also had 48 more Bluefin from 50-120lbs and 407 Yellowfin!!

With good signs of big tuna on the lower banks - perfect for our Mag Bay trips - we have some late openings due to cancellations.

Our first trip departs Mag Bay on Nov 27, returning on Dec 4 (Tuesday to Tuesday), and will fish 6 full days right in prime big fish waters.

We had a great day of fishing here on our Bogart Construction 2 day. There were some slow times but also some fast and furious times! We had great fishing on beautiful Dorado and Yellowfin Tuna. It was a bit crazy at times but tons of fun!
