The San Diego checked in on March 16, with 25 yellowtail, 6 bonito and 100 rockfish catches. Yo yo jigs have been the top producer so far but every school has boiled on our chum.Encouraging sign of fish for 1/2 the day today. Couple decent shots on all the popular presentations. We will try again tomorrow.

46 bluefin 6 yellowtail. One stop can make or break your day, and today we were one of the lucky ones. Flylined baits on 30-40lb line and a size 2-1/0 hook worked best. We still recommend having a 40-60lb rod to fish either a sinker rig or jig.

turkey sandwich for lunch to fuel us for the wire tying party that ensued. There was also a gaff rigging party that you missed Richie. Staple gun repair, flood light cleaning and repair,bait siphoning, fixed the furuno-Navnet meter problem, got that waste of money USCG required DSC single side band radio working right, and a few more things fixed. I just wrote all that out so when we write the usual stuff in the future you know what we are talking about. All in all a very productive day. The anglers did a bunch of rigging and caught enough Dorado for tacos, a nice fillet meal, enchilada's and Dorado ceviche in the coming days. Right now its Tito's and Stogies while we wait for a little tender loin dinner. Weather is fantastic and the boys all said to say hi and they miss you all. Except the cat....

Capt Mike Pritchard called in from the Tribute with a fantastic on the water report for today, so far we have limits of some really nice grade Dorado and a couple Yellowtail. The Dorado were in mid to high 20 lb range, we then started searching for tuna and decided to put out some Wahoo jigs and we did manage to get a couple nice 50 lb plus Wahoo for out efforts. Still plenty of room on tonight’s limited load 1 day trip aboard the Tribute. Trip is $230 and will be fishing for Bluefin, Yellowfin and Yellowtail. Make sure to bring gear from 25-80 pound, assorted fluorocarbon, jugs and sinkers.

Captain Mike Pritchard checked in with an final wrap-up from the Tribute out of Seaforthl. Today we had 27 bluefin (1 shy of limits) 2 yellowfin (first of the season) and 16 yellowtail for our 14 anglers today in flat calm weather.
