round lake Fishing Report 2025

Captain Andrew Viola called in late last night at 11:15 PM.  We just wrapped up an overnight charter.  It was a tough morning the fish slept in.  The fish showed up later in the day and we managed 3 Bluefin Tuna (up to 120 pounds).  It was a very encouraging sign of fish once we got on them.  

We had a 2 day Izorline trip tonight and we have a SOLD OUT trip departing Friday night.

Hi friends. Today, a couple boats came out of their days looking like Kate Beckinsale and some boats came out looking like the love-child of Whoopi Goldberg and Gary Busey. I'd like to think we were somewhere in between. Anyhow, we caught a few handfuls of nice bluefin, a couple of nice yellowtail and one really nice dorado. It's just a matter of finding one that wants to stick with us and bite. Our weather is okay and we'll be giving it our all tomorrow. See ya.

Capt. Ray Montera will be going out tomorrow in search of yellowtail. If you have ever wanted to catch a 20 plus pound yellowtail. This is the time for you.

19 Bluefin Tuna in the 80-120 lb. range. Few openings left this month, get booked now, so you don't miss out.April has 8 openings on if you want to come on that and then we have some open a day and half for the trip. Ryan Bostian called in to give this report for the San Diego. "I'm calling to give you guys the Coronado Island fish report. Today we went out with 52 passengers and we came back with 74 Yellowtail. Coronado Islands just keeps kick'in them out. 60% of our fish were 6 to 10 lbs, & 40% were 20 to 30 lbs. Come on out with us and enjoy a great time fishing. Hey everybody the voyager is running a open party 2 day trip this up coming weekend!

The season is still very much here and the fishing is excellent on Dorado, Yelllowfin, Bluefin, and yellowtail!! This may very well be the Voyager's last offshore adventure before it begins it's rock cod season. The ticket cost is $425 and this includes permit and bunk. We are limited load to only 16 passengers so please act quickly. Day 2 will be spent offshore as well, the fishing at the dumper has been exceptional for the BFT's!! And the better grade yellows!! 12-25lbs

60+ yellowtail on the boat by noon. Good sign so far this morning. Stay tuned.

Fishing today was somewhat subdued. We gave Guadalupe a check to see if the tuna have arrived without much luck. We picked up 5 yellow fin and spent most of the day rocked by home guard yellowtail. Our weather is gorgeous in the lei of the island. We will be back offshore tomorrow for some hot kelp patty action. It's first call for dinner tonight. Sauteed shrimp with tomato, garlic and parsley.
