Great day traveling today. Mainly spent rigging for Yellowtail and Wahoo. Blue Skies and seas, cant ask for much more. We will be fishing tomorrow morning. Wish us luck, Team Supreme

The Scripps Ranch Old Pros offshore charter enjoyed plenty of cold beers and beautiful weather. We were able to land 16 yellowtail and 28 bonito.

Captain Ryan Bostian checked in with an update from the San Diego out of Seaforth Landing in Mission Bay, CA.  We had 18 passengers today catch 12 Bluefin Tuna (60 to 80 pounds).   We landed 1/2 the fish we hooked today.  We also caught 3 Yellowtail.  We recommend the flat-fall jig with a two-speed reel loaded with spectra and a short 60 to 80 pound fluorocarbon leader.  You have also be prepared with a 25 to 35 pound live bat outfit for the kelps.

Good evening. Things are happening down here on the Polaris Supreme. From this morning until about 1500 hours, we didn't do hardly anything. Some of that time was spent traveling but what I'm getting at is rather impressive. From 1500 hours until dark, we caught our daily limits of 25-35 lb. bluefin, 19 yellowfin, and 1 dorado off of one stop. Very good fishing and to top it off, the weather is very pleasant and it's looking like more of the same for the next 48 hours. We'll see. Good times today, man. You know it's good when Chef Schooler's afternoon snack sat on the table for three hours, untouched. Schooler was pumped too, surprisingly. He gaffed fourteen fish today (you know it's good when Chef "Shabba" is out on deck), got most on the first shot, and didn't knock one off of the line. Sonny Jim! We're very proud of Shabba and the boys had themselves a real ball.

Anyhow, the boys are all tucked away and getting their rest for tomorrow. We'll chat with you then. Peace.

POLARIS SUPREME TRIP UPDATE 10-02-2020 Great fishing today on Bluefin from 35-160 and yellow fin 40-70 pounds in slick weather! The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Trip wrap up: It was a hell of a trip with a great group of guys, with great tackle from Accurate and great food from Shawn. Yes we had some nausea from hurricane Paul but that's something you have to deal with sometimes in long range sportfishing. Thank you so much Mr. Joe Gigliotti and The staff at Accurate for letting us use and lend out your Accurate tackle.

Jackpot goes as follows: Dale Goss took 1st with a 52.6 pound wahoo, pizza man Joey G. took 2nd with a 50.4 pound yellowfin tuna (I told you Joe), and Gary Rogers took 3rd with a 40.2 pound yellowfin tuna. An Honorable mention goes out to Steve Lowe for his 56.4 pound wahoo he caught on the troll.

 

Today we left with our good friend George Davis and his group of dudes on a 14 day trip. Yup, a glory run going down down down. Our bait was fair and seems to be swimming in circles in the tanks and not dying off so that's good. We rigged up our rods and reels today taking our time because we have some time with some travel days ahead of us. We haven't had a true departure travel day for a long time now and I have to say it's nice not being in a rush to get everything done at once. There were some movies played today and a lot of sleep going down in the staterooms. Chef Shawn put out a nice little Sushimi snack that went down quick. Tomorrow we'll do our tackle fishing seminar for Wahoo after breakfast and then I'm sure there will be more movies and naps in everyones future. Travel days are nice. Can you say 1492 and Titos ! We cleared the point today at 1:00 in the afternoon with a full load of bait and a load of anxious anglers. After a short tackle seminar we are still rolling down in good looking absolutely flat calm gorgeous weather. We got the trolling jigs out and the sonar running keeping the area honest. We're planning on being offshore in the morning looking for yellowfin, bluefin, dorado, and that good grade yellowtail under kelps.
