Polaris Supreme Trip Update 11-19-2019 Well fishing was pretty darn good today! Just not for us. Our passengers are pretty well fixed up on yellowfin tuna, some people just kept Five or six and Released the rest and some people kept 14 over the last four days. So we decided to go look for Dorado and Wahoo on kelp patties. And let me tell you it didn't work out! As close as we got was one dead turtle with one single Dorado swimming around it. The boat we left behind, where we were fishing tuna in the morning ended up having a phenomenal day before we got back there late in the afternoon. That's how I know it was good fishing! We had good weather today looking but it didn't help a whole lot. Tomorrow we going to go spend about four hours looking for yellowtail to wind up the trip. Our efforts on the Dorado was just in the wrong direction. One boat found an excellent school 40 miles to the northwest of us on a dead seal. Another boat had beautiful bull Dorado fishing 60 miles to the southeast of us today. It just wasn't meant to be for us! So off we go! we will report from the yellowtail grounds tomorrow. We are dragging our feet behind the storm here we don't want to drive up into it. Our weather has been good to excellent the whole trip. The Polaris Supreme Crew!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-17-2016 We got out today bright and early without a hitch and are rolling down south for eight days of we hope will be spectacular sportfishing! The group today is an open group of "The Usual Suspects" that takes this annual voyage south with us each year. Our bait looks just okay so far? Our weather is fantastic. We have gotten a full day in of eating, sleeping and rigging.Tune in here tomorrow and we will have an update on our travel down day. The Polaris supreme crew P.S. We have just put a 1 1/2 day trip online for next weekend. It will be leaving Sunday night at 6 PM and returning Tuesday morning at 6 AM. Fishing is still good. We got a good handful of nice grade tuna with most being around 100 lbs. and Matt got a 188 lb. and Bill got a 192 lb. The weather is excellent. Just beautiful. Pedro delighted us with a roasted chicken with a great cilantro sauce. Really yummy. And dinner with a superb grilled steak. It was another great day.

This year is my 20th straight season operating a boat at the Coronado Islands. The fishing that is happening right now is the best I have ever seen. Boats from 10 ft to 124 ft all drifting and getting them. Don’t miss out on this amazing display of bio-mass. Please be responsible and only keep what you need. The water at the Coronado Islands has gotten cold and dirty. We have spent the last 2 days enjoying some excellent bottom fishing in 200-400 ft of water. We are keeping tabs on everything in our range. For all you bottom fishing lovers. Come out soon. Conditions are changing fast and as soon as we feel there is a good chance of consistently catching gamefish. The rockfish will go on the back burner again.

Jodie called in with this On-the-Water Fish Report for the Apollo. "It looks like we have 40 on the deck. These fish are 30 to 40 lbs and we are fishing at 111 miles.

Capt. Mike Pritchard called in with this report for the Tribute. "We're still having very good fishing. We've caught 45 Yellowfin tuna, 10 Dorado & limits of Yellowtail. We're seeing very good signs of fish down here, a lot of Yellowtail.

"We do have a 1.5 Dy trip leaving tomorrow night. Right now we only have 9 people signed up. That trip is a definite go, so if you like fishing on a light load call Seaforth Landing at 619-224-3383."
