lake thompson Fishing Report 2024

Today was tough for the first 3/4's of the day looking for 30-40 lb. yellowtail and we only picked up a 1/2 dozen. by late afternoon we bailed out and went for the 20 pounders and had excellent time winding up our yellowtail fishing for the trip. Tomorrow we will be strictly concentrating of Dorado and any tuna we might find. The weather is still spectacular. Thanks, Tommy and crew

Hello everyone Today the water is noticeably warmer and cleaner than yesterday. We started off the day fishing for tuna. The grade was still that better sized fish 13-25 lbs. It just did not bite in the volume that we were hoping for, still great action though. In between anchor jobs we trolled around for Wahoo. Picking one off here and there, keeping things interesting. We feel that we are content with the tuna we have on board and are in search of more Wahoo tomorrow. Will report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Today we departed on Bob Vance's annual 5-day charter. It's always great to see Bob and his group. He is one of our longest running charters, and while there are always a couple new faces, there a quite a few that have been with Bob since the beginning. We spent the day traveling, preparing our gear, and dined on a monstrous grilled steak and potato for dinner. We are underway and anxious to get our lines in the water. Check in tomorrow. O.k. O.k. I'm sorry. I missed a day. I had fishing on my mind and I forgot about you guys. The next day was worth our while. It was slow at times but we put together some good stops. We bailed out of the grounds before dark to put ourselves in position for the next quest, Bluefin. The weather couldn't of been better today. We found a school of BF a couple hours after first light and for the next two and a half hours it was quite the show. Bluefin were flying out of the water doing flips, cartwheels and other various tricks. Unfortunately they weren't very interested in our anglers baits. We did hook four and landed three that taped out at 99,120, and 127. I always get the measurements wrong so they'll probably weigh more when we weigh them at the dock tomorrow morning. It's like a lake for our ride in which will make the rack of lamb tonight all that better.

Another slow day at the islands coupled with a great catch from our code boat Liberty has resulted in us switching our run back to offshore fishing. November is the new September, Viva El Niño
