Hello Everyone, Today we had great Tuna fishing on the better grade fish. We were able to be selective and tag the Tuna between 20-40lbs. It was not wide open but we were able to pick for most of the day. We were even able to land one stand out 70 lber. An incredible fish in the mix. We will be trying to fill in the cracks with quality Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail, and Grouper Tomorrow. Will Report again tomorrow, Team Supreme

Why hello there, friends. How are you? Us? Fine, thanks. What did we do today? We caught 76 Bluefin tuna, some Yellowtail, and a Dorado. We caught Bluefin tuna in every single scenario you could have imagined. Jig strikes, sonar schools, meter marks, kelp-associated, and we also caught one off of the biggest breezer most of us have ever seen. I'm not kidding, this thing was a 1/4 mile long. Crazy. Anyhow, the grade for the most part was 16-25 lbs.and most came out of one drift just after lunch, but we had a shot later in the day when some big fish found us and we landed a handful of those 40-60 pounders. All in all, it was a good day for Chappy and the boys and we've decided to give this another shot tomorrow. No shortage of Bluefin bown this way. We never went long without seeing a school to play with, but most gave us the slip with the exception of a select few. F-ing Bluefin, they're so wiley!

Our weather is fine; a little bit of swell with a little bit of wind, but the wind is cold, real cold. Other highlights of the day included Herb Y. handing out his handmade wood bowls, nutcrackers, pepper grinders, and all the University of Oregon gear that you could shake a stick at. I scored a sweet U of O golf jacket. Pumped. Chappy got in the mix and handed out some charter T-shirts for what will be the Ted Windham Inaugural Charter. Thanks to Herb and Tom for the swag.

So that is all. Chef Shawn kicked out some killer sushi appetizers today and just now kicked out some killer lamb chops. Mama D also kicked out the most wicked brownie, praline, chocolate chip, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce dessert I've ever witnessed and we thank her for that. Team Galley was on it today, boy. Alright, we're going to give this tuna thing another morning and gather a game plan whether we'll bomb down to the Yellowtail grounds or stick it out offshore. This past week had a little bit of everything. Good fishing in flat calm weather to slow fishing in choppy weather and even some searching for kelp paddies in socked in fog. Our scores this week averaged 3-80 yellowtail 2-10 dorado per day and even 13 bluefin tuna on our Friday charter. Overall I would say that we are experiencing GOOD 3/4 day fishing. Most of our fishing has been taking place between 20 and 40 miles from Mission Bay. Even though our counts have been good , we still have some inherit risks that go along with offshore fishing that you should be prepared for. Whenever we fish offshore , we know that we are taking part in a "high risk , high reward" fishery. Since we are relying on finding kelp paddies in order to find fish , the possibility of never stopping the boat is real. The flip side of never stopping the boat is ; we may stop the boat once and have the best fishing of our lives. With another tropical storm down south , I believe that our fishing is only going to improve over the next month. Typically our offshore season continues until we get the first couple real storms from the pacific northwest. We run everyday , if you would like to join us call 619-224-3383 for reservations.

Well that wasn't very fun. Lame is what I would call it. We fished the exact same as we did yesterday but only in reverse. We started where we finished yesterday and finished where we started and yes, it was lame. Not much fish and a whole lot of wind. You could of surfed some of the waves we saw yesterday. Needless to say we got out of there and headed up to where the weather is nice and there is a plethora of fish. We hope. It's the afternoon of the 19th and we're almost to the grounds. We'll check back tonight.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-21-2016 For anyone that wants to go out and fish the local tuna outside San Diego that has been biting consistently we have a day and a half trip leaving on Sunday at 6 PM fishing Monday and coming back Tuesday morning at 6 AM. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, a good broken record, we had another great day of Wahoo fishing! It didn't stop there from dark on we had a great nighttime bite on Quality yellowtail, absolutely a beautiful grade. Talk about burning the candle at both ends of the stick! You guys leaving on the Ahi charter on the 22nd make sure you have plenty of the medium-size marauders in your tackle box. Not every day but some days the sharks are really really bad eating marauders and the Wahoo on the marauders. Anybody wanting to get in on some of the best action I've ever seen on these eight and 10 day trips we have openings on our limited load 10 day trip on November 22. Capt Ryan Bostian checked in from the San Diego with a trip wrap up for their 41 anglers to report that they caught 135 Yellowtail at the Coronado Islands. They were biting on the flylined sardines and the surface jigs, we also a few on the yoyo jigs, pretty good fishing today. We will be back at it again tomorrow, get down here and get in on this hot action.
