berry`s bait Fishing Report 2025

We departed today with Chaparro's annual lite load charter. This is his 10th year! A fun group as always and the guys are anxious to get their lines wet. We got a nice load of bait and headed out west looking for albacore and yellowfin with only a few landed.

There were plenty of seiners. Our weather continues to be good. As we dine on steak and lobster we are looking forward to tomorrow to do some kelping. Our web master who handles all our updates will be out fishing himself for the next few days, so there won't be any reports posted until Thursday. Give Susan a call if you have any questions. We got limits of Dorado and 90 Yellowfin Tuna for our 21 anglers.

Yesterday morning we had some good fishing and the albacore and some great fishing on the yellowtail. Midday we got a nice round on the bluefin and late in the day we were back with the albacore biting full speed. It was a fantastic day. Weather was good and is still nice today. This morning we had a nice hit on the albacore. We have had some requests in the office to post the meals we serve on board, so we'll start putting some of that information on as well. Last night Chef Pedro served a wonderful duck breast fillet served in natural pan sauce. It was excellent. The night before we dined on salmon with a lemon, butter caper sauce. Also very tasty.

Some of our lunches on this trip were pork carnitas, with all the toppings and sides, and one day we had chicken marinara with pasta. Food and fishing is excellent! Paul Hess's group has also been excellent.

We will be into the dock tomorrow morning at 6am.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 10-24-2019 We had another log jam today on the kelp patties. Another great day of fishing Wahoo and what a beautiful grade of fish! Some real beauties in their. They look more like alligators than Wahoo. They definitely act like alligators when you hook one. We also had a good hit on the yellowfin tuna again this afternoon. The grade of fish was more like 20 to 45 it wasn't all 45 pounders. But still a good grade of fish! Were finished up in the lower zone here and need to start working north. Stayed late today so we will probably only have a few hours of fishing tomorrow if any looking for some yellowtail up the coast. Weather is still epic. We also spent about a half hour today catching and releasing beautiful grade Dorado. We didn't keep any! Will check in with you tomorrow on our way home after a short try for yellowtail. Polaris Supreme Update 08-13-2012 14:14 hrs.

 

We are that guy, that Lucky Lucky guy. Our morning started out as a 5 way jig strike just after the crack and we are still drifting with the same fish. Yellowfin 75%, Bluefin 25%. What a great day fishing and we have 6 hrs. to go. The weather is still beautiful.

Today we covered over yesterday’s hot zone and beyond to only locate one school. Ended the with 2 yellowtail, a round of bonito and plenty of bottom fish. Hopeful the yellowtail are ready to eat tomorrow after today’s hiatus.

April 17 & 18, 2013

Wednesday (the 17th) we had 10-11 Tuna in the 110-197 lb range and 12 wahoo. This morning we so far we have 8 tuna in the same range as yesterday, and 2 wahoo. Conditions are still good and we are having fun with the kite fishing. Yesterday we had some wind, and today's forecast is to be more, but so far we are having good weather. Hope it keeps up.
