Captain Mike Pritchard called in this morning with an audio update from the Tribute out of Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay. We moved to a new area and found some fish. As of 9:30 AM we have 2 Bluefin Tuna, 6 Yellowtail and 1 Dorado. We have a very light load today of 13 anglers. So pretty good fishing this morning.

The Tribute is ONLINE at Seaforth Landing. We are a definite go right now for tonight's trip. We only have 9 anglers. The loads are light so get in on it while you can!

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-17-2016 We got out today bright and early without a hitch and are rolling down south for eight days of we hope will be spectacular sportfishing! The group today is an open group of "The Usual Suspects" that takes this annual voyage south with us each year. Our bait looks just okay so far? Our weather is fantastic. We have gotten a full day in of eating, sleeping and rigging.Tune in here tomorrow and we will have an update on our travel down day. The Polaris supreme crew P.S. We have just put a 1 1/2 day trip online for next weekend. It will be leaving Sunday night at 6 PM and returning Tuesday morning at 6 AM. Hey there everyone the Voyager has a 2.5 day San Martin/ offshore trip coming up with a few extra spots open. The cost is $550 this includes all the bells and whistles. I had such a great time fishing with Captain Ryan Bostian and his crew aboard the San Diego that I couldn't resist jumping aboard again for another shot at some of those big Coronado Island yellows. There are big schools of yellowtail roaming the Coronado Islands and recent fish counts have been ranging anywhere from just a few fish to 70-80 fish per trip. No sense trying to figure it out. Pick a day and go !!! Captain Bostian and the San Diego fish the Coronado Islands everyday, so nobody knows them better or fishes them harder than the Captain and his crew. We looked for and caught a few barracuda along the coast as we made our way down to the Coronados. We worked several areas of both islands looking for a school of yellows that wanted to stay with the boat. We saw plenty of action around the boat and would hook one or two yellows at each spot, but we could never get them to bite aggresively. We landed 10-11 nice yellows highlighted by Aiyana Schwartz's huge jackpot yellow that she hooked on a dropper looped sardine. All in all a great day on the water with an excellent chance at catching a trophy fish. The Coronado Islands are about to break wide open and Captain Bostian and the crew aboard the San Diego will be there. Aug. 23

The morning started off as predicted. Good fishing on a beautiful grade of fish. Seniors for sure. After a few hours of pumping and pulling the fishing shut off and stayed that way till after the appetizers were put out and wouldn't you know it, the fish wanted some too. So we pumped and grinded ( or ground?) again on the Polaris Supreme for a while longer and now we're headed for new grounds. Should be great tomorrow for our last day. We'll see.

No helmet time for Mark today. His litlun Chase must be keeping him under control. See you tomorrow. Polaris Supreme clear.

Polaris Supreme Trip Report 09-10-2016 Well we didn't quite have the day were hoping for. But everybody had the chance to catch a couple fish throughout the day. And of course the guys had fun. Between what we caught yesterday and today I'll call this a Great trip. It was really nice to see a good grade of yellowfin tuna around San Diego! We will be heading into the dock and unloading our catch tomorrow morning at 7AM. Thank you Brad and Dan for bringing a group of great guys out for a couple days on the Polaris supreme, and we hope the business keeps doing well. We will be taking a few days off and doing some boat work, see you out for our eight day charter coming up in about seven days! Looking forward to get down south.
